User Guide
Everything you need to go from a fresh wallet connection to reading your full perp portfolio across every venue. DEX PULSE is read-only: it shows your positions, PnL, funding and fees - it never trades, never withdraws, and never holds your funds.
Getting started
DEX PULSE is a read-only portfolio tracker for perpetual DEX traders. Connect your wallet and see your positions, profit and loss, funding and fees across supported venues in a single dashboard - instead of opening ten tabs. Some venues also require an additional read-only API key, added once in Settings.
Your identity is simply your public wallet address. There is no email, no password, and no signature required to use the core product.
Connect your wallet using the button in the top right. Once connected, DEX PULSE begins assembling your portfolio from the venues it can read directly, and from any venues you link with a read-only API key.
There are two kinds of venue, and understanding the difference is the whole mental model:
- Wallet-only venues - your data is read straight from your connected address. Nothing to set up beyond connecting your wallet.
- API-key venues - these require a read-only API key that you add once in Settings, so DEX PULSE can fetch your account data on your behalf.
Once connected you land on the Dashboard: a single rolled-up view of your total value, open positions, and performance across everything you have linked.
Supported venues
DEX PULSE brings these perp DEXes into one dashboard. Wallet venues need only your connected address; API-key venues need a read-only key added in Settings.
| Venue | Connection | What you can track |
|---|---|---|
| Hyperliquid | Wallet | Positions, PnL, funding, fees |
| Lighter | Wallet | Positions, PnL, funding, fees |
| Nado | Wallet | Positions, PnL, funding, fees |
| RiseX | Wallet | Positions, PnL, funding, fees |
| Extended | API key | Positions, PnL, funding, fees |
| Ondo | API key | Positions, PnL, funding, fees |
| Perpl | API key | Positions, PnL, funding, fees |
| Hibachi | API key | Positions, PnL, funding, fees |
The exact set of live venues can change as integrations are added or an exchange opens its API. If a venue you trade on is missing, let us know from the Feedback page.
Connecting venues
Wallet-only venues appear automatically once your wallet is connected - there is nothing else to do. Your positions on those venues are read directly from your public address.
API-key venues need a read-only key. Open Settings, find the venue, and paste the key you generate on that exchange. DEX PULSE shows a short hint under each venue pointing to exactly where its key lives in that exchange’s interface, since every venue’s layout is different.
Always create READ-ONLY keys - keys without trading or withdrawal permissions. A read-only key lets DEX PULSE see your data and nothing else. It cannot move funds or place orders, even in theory.
To remove a venue, open Settings, select it, and delete the stored key. Removing a venue deletes its stored API credential and stops future syncing - its live data leaves your dashboard immediately. Historical data and records you created (equity snapshots, points campaigns) are kept unless you delete them separately. You can re-add the venue any time.
The dashboard
The Dashboard is your overview screen. The numbers at the top summarise your whole account across every connected venue at once: total equity, unrealized PnL, open positions, and headline performance.
Everything rolls up. If you hold positions on several venues, DEX PULSE combines them into one figure so you see your real, cross-venue exposure rather than a fragmented picture spread across many apps.
Data is fetched live from each venue when you load the page and refreshes as you use the app. Because the numbers come straight from the exchanges, they are only ever as current as each exchange reports.
Portfolio
The Portfolio view is the detailed breakdown of every open position across every venue in one table. For each position you can see its market, side, size, entry price, current PnL, funding paid or earned, and fees.
Having every venue in one table is the point: you can compare positions, spot where funding is bleeding you, and understand your true net exposure without switching between exchange interfaces.
If a venue is temporarily unreachable, DEX PULSE shows it as degraded and keeps retrying rather than hiding it. That venue’s data may be delayed until it recovers - the exchange itself is always the source of truth.
Statistics
The Statistics view is the analytics layer for your own trading. It turns your raw positions and history into readable performance metrics so you can see how you are actually doing over time, not just right now.
Equity history is built from portfolio snapshots that DEX PULSE records over time. It starts accumulating once you connect your portfolio, so a brand-new account will show limited history at first and fill in as more snapshots are recorded - the chart becomes more useful across days and weeks of use.
Each statistic is derived from the same live venue data behind your dashboard, so what you see in Statistics stays consistent with your positions and PnL elsewhere in the app.
Points tracker
The Points tracker replaces the Notion page or spreadsheet many traders keep for points farming. It lets you track points-farming progress per venue inside the same app you already use to watch your portfolio.
Create a campaign for a venue you are farming, then log your trades or entries against it as you go. The tracker tallies everything for you and shows running totals, so you always know where you stand on each program without maintaining a separate document.
The totals give you an at-a-glance view of your farming across venues - which campaigns you are pushing, and how much you have accumulated in each.
Calculators
The Calculators tab holds quick tools for common perp-trading calculations - such as PnL and liquidation estimates. Each calculator explains the inputs it needs and how its result is worked out, so you can see at a glance which one fits what you are trying to figure out.
Security & privacy
Read-only by design. DEX PULSE never custodies your funds, never places trades, and never withdraws. There is no code path in the product that can move your money - the capability simply does not exist.
When you connect an exchange, we recommend read-only API keys - keys that cannot trade or withdraw. Any key you add is encrypted before it is stored, is used only to fetch your own data on your behalf, and is never returned to your browser or exposed in our responses or logs.
We will never ask for your private key or seed phrase. No legitimate tool ever needs them. If anything ever asks you for them in the name of DEX PULSE, it is not us.
For the full detail on what data we handle and the choices you have, see the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, linked in the sidebar.
FAQ
Is it safe? Do you hold my funds? No. DEX PULSE is read-only and never takes custody of anything. It reads data to show you your portfolio; it cannot move funds or place trades.
Why does one venue need an API key but another does not? Some venues expose your positions directly from your public wallet address, so no key is needed. Others only serve account data through their API, which requires a read-only key so we can fetch it on your behalf.
My data looks wrong, or a venue is not loading. Data is fetched live and may be delayed if an exchange is slow or temporarily unreachable. The exchange is always the source of truth - give it a moment and retry, and verify against the exchange directly before acting on anything.
Is my API key safe? Yes. Use a read-only key, and it is encrypted at rest, never shown back to your browser, and never logged. It is only ever used to read your own data.
How do I remove my data? Remove a venue in Settings to delete its stored key, and its data leaves your dashboard immediately.
